Urdd National Eisteddfod 26th-31st May - Bala
The Urdd National Eisteddfod is now only a couple of weeks away. It will take place in Meirionnydd in Bala in the heart of Snowdonia, just a short drive from Tyn Rhos Hotel. The Eisteddfod is one of Europe’s largest touring youth festivals with over 15,000 children competing over the week in singing, theatre, dance, art and many other categories. The Eisteddfod regularly attracts roughly 100,000 visitors per year and is a great event if you want to experience real Welsh culture. In addition to the main hub of the event, which are the competitions, the pavilion will be surrounded by roughly 200 colourful stalls and plenty of other attractions, including a range of sports, such as climbing and biking, that the whole family will enjoy. Book your tickets soon and after you have enjoyed the festival, relax in the peaceful surrounding of the Thyn Rhos hotel to unwind.

All Wales Boat Show 30th May-1st June – Conwy
Just to the North of the hotel is the county of Conwy and one of the most entertaining boating events is soon to take place. The All Wales Boat Show is back for 2014 with boating competitions, races, events, exhibitions, boat sales and more. There will be yacht tasting sessions, tub races and the premier of a brand new type of watersport at the event this year so there is something exciting for everyone to enjoy. Book tickets and accommodation early to avoid missing out on this wonderful family day out in Conwy.

Snowdonia Arts Festival 14th- 15th June – Betws-y-Coed
Betws-Y-Coed and the Conwy Valley are centres for the arts in North Wales. Many craftsmen and professional artists reside in the town and the area has retained a strong connection to its routes as an artists’ colony, hence the Snowdonia Arts Festival was created to celebrate this history. There will be displays, exhibitions, galleries, events and tours all related to art in the region. The full schedule is soon to be announced so keep your eyes peeled and this year the festival will be showing paintings from the original Arts Colony.

With all these fantastic events going on, your holiday will be filled with excitement. When you stay with Tyn Rhos, do not forget to enjoy the fine cuisine from our talented team of chefs and the stunning views of our Garden View Caernarfon Restaurant, which is open daily from 6:30-8:30pm all year round to both residents and non-residents of the hotel.
