A Beautiful Part of North Wales

Llanberis

North Wales is a very special, historical and magical place. You can hear the Welsh Language spoken as the first language, see the historic Castles of Caernarfon, Conwy and Beaumaris. Visit the National Trust properties of Plas Newydd and Penrhyn Castle and enjoy the sandy beaches and coves of Anglesey and The Lleyn Peninsula. Walk beautiful Snowdonia and tackle Snowdon itself on foot or on the rack and Pinion Railway.

Learn about the working history of the area's slate and copper mines. See the lovely local crafts - like the working woolen mills - and visit the special Victorian resort of Llandudno. The more adventurous can rock climb, go dry slope skiing, enjoy some fishing, golf and sailing or take in the wonderful scenery on a pony trek.

When Ty'n Rhos (House on the Heath) was purchased, together with 72 acres in 1972 it was a humble farm, which has since been transformed into a country hotel of great acclaim. Having won many fine accolades and awards it has a large restful lounge, furnished with many antiques where guests can relax and enjoy each other's company, read a good book or enjoy a game of scrabble. The dining room and conservatory overlook the gardens and the Isle of Anglesey. There's even a cosy bar, all tastefully furnished.

Over the years,Ty'n Rhos has received many accolades with awards and features on television and in magazines, including the Which? Hotel Guide. However to us the overwhelming satisfaction is to see all the guests who return time and time again and recommend us to their friends and who indeed become friends.

We would love to welcome you to Ty'n Rhos and although we cannot guarantee the weather, you can be assured of a truly warm welcome and caring attention.
