Spring Events in Snowdonia this April 2014

Spring is in full swing here at the Tyn Rhos Snowdonia Hotel and we are delighted to be welcoming so many wonderful guests to our hotel and restaurant this season.

The tranquil setting of the Tyn Rhos Country House, against the back drop of beautiful Snowdonia scenery, makes an ideal location for a relaxing spring getaway. Moelwyn Race

One of the most exciting and adrenaline fuelled events you can expect this Easter weekend is the Moelwyn Race on Saturday 19th April. The Ras Y Moelwyn is a perfect race to compete in or spectate if you prefer a flatter, more field based run than the steepness of the mountains. The landscape in Snowdonia is so beautifully varied that there will always be a event perfect for you just around the corner. The Moelwyn race is an excellent sporting event and takes place in Blaenau Ffestiniog, which is just a short drive from our hotel. There is even entertainment on the field in addition to the race itself. Entertainment begins at 1pm with the race kicking off at 2pm. Register soon to test your endurance or to watch and support your friends and have a great day out. Entry cost is £5 for seniors and £2.50 for juniors. This event is organised by Antur Stiniog which is always bringing fantastic sporting events of all kinds to Snowdonia. Easter Activities in Conwy & Snowdonia

If you prefer a more relaxing way to celebrate Easter then there is a charming assortment of Easter activities taking place throughout the Easter season in the area. Why not head to Bodnant Garden and try their top 50 things to do such as searching for frog’s spawn, making daisy chains or hunting bugs. From the 1st April-30th May you could sign up for the Conwy Spring Walks Programme and explore the best and most beautiful natural areas in the region. There will be an ‘Easter Eggstravaganza’ of activities at the Welsh Mountain Zoo over the Easter weekend and Easter egg hunts taking place in various locations across Conwy and Snowdonia.

On Easter Sunday, 20th April there will be an Easter Victorian Fair in Caernarfon, which is only a very short drive from the Tyn Rhos Snowdonia Hotel. It will include a wonderful local produce market as well as many Easter and Victorian themed activities.
