Menai Seafood Festival near Snowdonia Hotel

coastal north wales

The Menai Seafood Festival is a fantastic one day event, celebrating North Wales’ coastal heritage and the excellent array and variation of seafood and fish that are found on the coast of North Wales and Anglesey. Just outside of Snowdonia, the event will attract people from all around the UK, many of which can get accommodation at a North Wales or Snowdonia hotel.

The festival will not only celebrate and present plenty of seafood and fish, but will also offer cooking demonstrations, local produce markets, arts & crafts, live music and activities to entertain the children.
Gathering at Menai Bridge, a number of North Wales’ most acclaimed and talented chefs will be present, along with some of the upcoming cooks, who will be sharing and demonstrating some tasty recipes, tips and cooking techniques for you to try yourself. The demonstration tent will have action throughout the day, where you’ll be both entertained and enlightened into a whole new side of seafood and fish cookery – where you can grab a seafood recipe card.

You’ll also learn all about maritime conservation and the environment surrounding the Menai Straits. Bangor University’s School of Ocean Sciences will be giving educational talks and there will be exhibitions and kids activities set up and run by Anglesey Sea Zoo and the North Wales Wildlife Trust.

The local shores will not be limited to the waterfront theme. There will be local artists, craftspeople, schools and businesses all displaying nautical themed art work all around Menai Bridge, bringing added colour and a special flavour of the sea to the day – along with some excellent music from Welsh artists.

Don’t miss out on this excellent bustling market environment that sees local fisherman, seafood suppliers, artisan producers, craftspeople, locals and visitors to the area all come together in what will be a fantastic day out. Taking place on Saturday 31st August at Menai Bridge, Anglesey. Entry is free for everyone and for those staying at a Snowdonia hotel, the event is closely located to the region.
