Snowdonia is renowned for being a place of spectacular natural wonders. The Snowdonia mountain range and national park hold inspiring peaks, lush forests, waterfalls and interesting wild life. Besides all this exquisite countryside there are numerous stimulating events happening this summer in the Snowdonia area.
If you stay in Snowdonia hotels this summer you will only be a stone’s throw away from a host of fun events. There are two fantastic festivals coming this summer. WakeStock in Abersoch returns for 2013. On the 12th-14th of July Snowdonia will see the biggest wakeboarding and music extravaganza in Europe. If you can’t wait that long then prepare yourself for the second May bank holiday weekend. Kaya arrives on the 25th and 26th of May and brings us the World Music festival. With African, Jamacian and Carribbean music flavours and the African market the Kaya festival is a treat to the senses for music lovers. It takes place in Vaynol Estate near Bangor.

Snowdonia draws walkers from all over the world and this May is the Trefriw Walking Festival. Taking place on the 17th, 18th and 19th of May it begins with ‘Trefriw History Trail’ at 10am on Friday followed by ‘Two Lakes’ at 1:30. On the Saturday there is the ‘Two churches & a Chapel’ walk at 9:30am then an ‘Intro to Nordic Walking’ and ‘Mines of the Gwydir Forest’. Sunday completes the festival with ‘Trefriw Tops’ at 9:30am, a family walk and Geocoaching at 1pm.

Llanrwst hosts a Crafts and Food fair on the 8th June. Over 40 stalls will sell a variety of foods, jewellery and gifts. Admission is free.

Summer is not the only time to take a holiday in North Wales. Early Autumn sees some of our best sunsets and the countryside will come alive with colour as the trees change their leaves. If you book Snowdonia hotels this September you can also enjoy Helfa gelf, the Art Trail. Starting on the weekend of the 6th of September and running every weekend in September the Art Trail is based all over North Wales in various galleries, studios and homes. It is your chance to see Welsh artists in action as they create their works and chat to them about their inspiration.

Snowdonia is a majestic land with many cultural events taking place in all seasons.
