Refurbishment progress at Ty'n Rhos, new pictures and gourmet weekend special

Greetings From Ty'n Rhos Country House

Firstly let us say a big thank you to all those customers who have paid us a visit this year. Despite the poor summer weather Ty’n Rhos has remained consistently busy throughout. We have had some wondeful comments from your in-room feedback forms, guests have commented again and again on the relaxed, friendly atmosphere and the quality of the dining experience.

Our last e-newsletter to you at the beginning of the year, we were in the middle of improvement works to the hotel. Some of those are very visible to our customers, such as our new bar and reception which have turned out better than we ever dared to hope. Both of these areas have been transformed using local craftsman and tradesmen and both the bar and the reception have been built using solid ash wood and Welsh slate (Dez did a wonderful job - thank you!). Over the winter we also managed to refurbish three of our bedrooms and the people who have stayed in these have much appreciated the work we have undertaken. Out of sight, improvement works and substantial investment in the kitchen have enabled our team of chefs to take our food offering to a new level, which has resulted in a noticable increase in favourable comments about our food.

Our dining room now really does look the part, the new carpet made to our own design has transformed the space and together with the investment in new glassware and china from Vileroy and Boch and cutlery from Robert Welch Designs. All of which make the dining experience that more enjoyable (and the wines definitely taste better!). In our second year here we plan to concentrate on refurbishing more of the bedrooms - to give you a well-rounded experience of a good room, good food, in friendly and informal settings. It would be wonderful to wave a magic wand and make all the improvements in one foul swoop but I’m afraid we will have to continue on are program of rolling improvements.
