I find inspiration in nature and am drawn to the liminal places, by water, sand-dunes, wind-swept beach and sheep-dotted hill. Current work reflects my continuing fascination with the world of colour and with weather and light, ever-changing, moving over water and land. Through colour and stitch, I seek to arrive at the essence of a scene, of the effect on the senses and within the spirit of the beautiful landscape where we now live. Music, dance and the musicality of colour and line also act as both inspiration and important elements within my work. Moving between figurative and abstract according to what each piece demands, I seek to give expression to what lies within, speaking to others through glimpses and windows of what might be.
Wind of the spirit blows through all and informs all.
